Dr. Kappel is the founder and managing director of the Joachim Kappel Management Consultants GmbH in Vienna.
Previously, he was a manager in the field of Leadership Development Solutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Korn/Ferry International. Prior to this role, he worked for Egon Zehnder International for 16 years and established offices in Vienna and Athens. As managing partner he gradually assumed more responsibility until he became regional manager for Central and Eastern Europe.
He started his career in the marketing department at Procter & Gamble in Vienna and Athens. Dr. Kappel studied law at the University of Innsbruck and was awarded a Master’s degree in Law (LLM) at the University of Michigan Law School, Ann Arbor. He is fluent in German and English as well as Greek, French and Russian.
